Mixed Case of 6 (Option one)


Our mixed case contains a selection of our best sellers from both France and Spain, including a Blanquette de Limoux Sparkling and a Muscat de Rivesaltes dessert wine.

Spanish Merlot 11.5%
Our 100% Merlot has soft juicy plummy aromas which follow through to the red fruit, juicy palate; the tannins are well balanced and integrated. A really lush and rounded glass of wine!

French Black Lagoon Shiraz 13.5%
This wine is made from traditional “old bush vines” found in the vineyards of the foothills of the Montagne Noir. The stony, clay loam soils with high flint content provide ideal drainage for the vines. The 40-50 year old vines are the secret behind this excellent wine.

The wine has an enticing, deep purple colour delivering rich, spicy fruit aromas to the nose. The wine shows a classy balance between the weight of alcohol and mature, integrated fruit flavours, delicately spiced with peppery overtones. The tannins are firm but supple and support a long finish to the wine.

French La Reverence Shiraz 13%
From the Languedoc region in the South of France. The combination of 30-40 year old vines and stony soils produces hardy vines with low yields, delivering great fruit intensity and structure.

This Shiraz has lifted aromas of spice and red fruits – raspberry and cherry. In the mouth, this wine delivers a careful balance of bold jammy fruits and firm but supple tannins – perfect to drink with or without food.

D&B Viognier 13%
The D & B Cuve Decadente Viognier 2015 is a celebration of David and Boris, using tiny parcels of some of the most interesting varieties from Boris’ own Domaine. Single grape selection delivers incredible quality.
The Domaine comprises of only 11 hectares in total. The quality and intensity of the grapes picked is due to the fact that they are picked at their phenolic maturity. This gives us the opportunity to make wines in a very traditional way. Manual harvesting in small crates, hand sorted. Followed by low-temperature fermentation, the juice is left on its sediments for 72h to decant and stabilize naturally. Partial malolactic fermentation is allowed to follow with further ageing on its lees with regular stirring. The wine is then allowed to rest on its lees again before bottling.

This labour intensive journey gives our Viognier wonderful qualities.

Mu: Muscat de Rivesaltes 15%
A truly gorgeous and highly fragrant example of a very refined dessert wine. Muscat is a naturally sweet and very aromatic grape varietal, and here it is lightly fortified before all the sugar turns to alcohol, creating a honeyed, luscious wine with a beautiful natural sweetness.
Mu: is a collaboration between 4 parties, Pierre-Henry de la Fabregue (owner of Domaine de Rombeau and restaurateur  in Rivesaltes), Fernand Baixas and Boris Kovac (winemakers) and David Rowledge – the founder of Alchemy Wines.
The grapes were grown by Pierre-Henry and Fernand in the South West of France, just inland but overlooking the Mediterranean and near Rivesaltes, with the mountains in the heart of the Eastern Pyrenees climbing up behind, away from the coast. Only Muscat de Alexandria and Muscat a Petit Grains grapes can be used for Muscat de Rivesaltes Vin de Naturel.

Sandpiper Diamond Cuvee Reserve Blanquette de Limoux 12%
Our Sandpiper Blanquette de Limoux is made with an unusual local grape called Mauzac, blended with a good dose of Chardonnay. After blending, the wine then spends at least 9 months on its lees developing wonderful toasty overtones. The Mauzac grape, with its high acidity and crisp fruity aromas, is a great grape variety for making high quality sparkling wine.
Sandpiper Diamond Cuvee has lovely apple, pear and peach aromas enhanced by a light floweriness, with a light to medium body and a smooth finish.
