D&B Syrah/ Grenache Rosé

This is the result of a brilliant partnership between English wine creator David Rowledge and Peter Moorhouse and their winemaking business partner Boris Kovac.

From the foot hills of the Montagne Noire in the South of France under the influence of the Mediterranean climate.  After delicate crushing and destemming, this charming Syrah / Grenache Rose blend is made from free run gentle press juice. The juice is fermented at low temperatures to maintain flavour and layers of complexity. The wine is pale in colour and is full of red summer fruit aromas of strawberries and raspberries. The hints of cherry and spice on the palate lead to a crisp, long, refreshing finish.

  1. Colin

    Clear pale pink in colour.
Attractive, fresh aroma of red and black fruits, especially cherries and raspberries.
Soft, fruity palate with good acidity but not bone dry. Rich, warm, ripe red fruit; medium to light in body. Good length and very moreish. Excellent on its own (preferably outdoors in the sun) or with a range of lighter savoury foods.
Overall, my idea of a southern French rosé, and one which I would buy.
    Delicious.

  2. Fabrice Limon

Great looking rosé with a nice light pink hue.
bright fruit aroma with hint of fresh strawberries (not overly ripe!)
On the pallet the strawberry makes way to slightly tart raspberry and other red fruit with just a hint of green apple, leaving a pleasing dry finish to the wine.
Quite light in body with decent length and acidity, perfect for summer salads or seafood fresh from the BBQ!
