Prostate Cancer UK Golf Day-Friday 17th May 2019 at Aldeburgh Golf Club.
Piers Pollard organised his annual golf day at Aldeburgh Golf Club on Friday 17th May, this year to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK.
40 players participated on an overcast but dry day and this was followed by a lunch, auction and raffle. Charlie Packshaw, who is Chairman of PCUK and lives in Hoo, gave an excellent insight into prostate cancer and the charity.
Thanks to the very kind generosity of both sponsors and auction lot donations and bidders, the day raised £7,500 for PCUK, with over £6,000 coming from the auction, conducted by Piers Pollard.
Team Alchemy, led by David Rowledge of Alchemy wines ( who very generously sponsored the wine ) were the winners, with Rupert Precious’s team, The Tonker Rooneys coming a very close second on count back.
