Peter Moorhouse
Chair

Peter joined Alchemy as Chair in 2018. He has worked in investment banking in the City of London for over 30 years for Smith New Court, Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley and has extensive experience of long city lunches and client entertaining over a glass of wine.

Hobbies: He is a knowledgeable and keen wine enthusiast and investor and is very cultural with a love of Music, Cricket and The Arts (actually anywhere with a wine bar!). His big other love is Burnley Football Club.

David Rowledge
Founder & Managing Director 

David is the Founder / Managing Director and brain child behind Alchemy Wines UK. He has been in the trade for nearly 30 years working directly with quality wineries and winemakers across Europe and the New World and the rumours are that wine does actually run through his veins. He set up Alchemy Wines over 18 years ago and has single handedly built up its reputation for supplying great wine with great service at exceptional prices. Alchemy has been proud to produce ranges and wines for some of the most luxurious high profile outlets in the World. We aren’t necessarily aiming to be the biggest, but we are certainly aiming to be among the best.
We want to work closely with you – our customers – to bring you closer to the source of production. We believe we can deliver huge value, through quality service, engaging ideas and satisfaction every step of the way. Our customers are our friends.

Hobbies – Love of most sports, still playing tennis, squash and cycling a number of miles a week.  Spending time with exceptionally knowledgeable winemakers has always been a wonderful way to increase wine exposure and understanding!!.

Paddy Bishopp
Marketing Consultant

Paddy Bishopp is a food and drink entrepreneur, partly because it allows him to indulge in his love of eating and drinking!

He Founded Eat Anglia in 2004, a food and drink home delivery, followed by an award winning Café/Deli and then in 2007 he co-founded Paddy and Scott’s Coffee supplying Waitrose, Tesco, Barclays, B&Q, Daily Telegraph, Heinz, JW Lees and HP to name just a few.  Now at Alchemy Wines to expand its market.

Outside this he has a serious side and Paddy is Chairman of The Suffolk Community Foundation’s Food and Drink Fund and mentors Suffolk Food and Drink start up companies at an incubator hub he co-founded.

Hobbies: Joining Peter on business lunches with some healthy tennis and cycling in between being Father to his three very active sons.

Rebecca Rangi

Rebecca joined Alchemy Wines after a successful career in business and project management in The NHS, Her Majesty’s Prison Service and Utilities Management and now has the unenviable job of having to control the growing team.

Outside this she has combined her passion for food and drink by joining forces with her family and setting up a business producing and selling extra virgin olive oil. Casa de l’Oli is an award-winning business that has been running since 2004.

Hobbies: Not adverse to some DIY in between walking her dog and playing all important ball in the garden! All of course enjoyed with a healthy glass of wine and a slice of something delicious….
